Paula Ferro holds the keys to very promising

premises located just outside town on 125 behind

Aldo supermarket (close to the cemetery). There

are rooms and space for exhibits, events,

workshops and parties. It has sea-view so we

might decide to establish  Boa Vista Cultural Club.

  1. Paula suggests the old name should remain. It’s O Rosal - The Rose.

  2. What we call it, however, is one thing. What we do with is the main thing. In the mean time we need to start a brain storm and make a plan and do a lot of practical work and clean it up.
I invite everybody to explain what kind of work you can do and come forward with suggestions and plans for short time and long time use.
I suggest we have an outdoor party at the site. Bring a bottle, a big smile and good ideas.
We need some simple gardening tools and brooms and stuff.
Can we pick a date on Tuesday. My suggestion is next Saturday.

  4. Well…mayby I am too obsessed…but I always had a dream about joining something like The Factory…
now, that is a name wich indicates - I believe - what we wanna do…it makes associations to work and working-class people…and it`s a name with strong traditions…the way back to the 60`s…when Andy Warhole…and Velvet Underground with family, did their art-experiments…and created a space for collectiv resarch on art-projects.
I suggest we call the place The Factory…!!!

  5. Not an entirely bad idea by Leif, A fábrica, in the correct language (I believe,it is). Still, I think we should continue some brainstorming since this is a very important issue. In the long run a sign has to be made if we arrange anything we want visitors to come and find (and buy). Thinking about that there is another name which goes back to earlier artists (in Europe as far as I remember, but maybe also on other continents - I have to check) and that is simply O poste indicador / The Signpost, a name with a lot of hidden meaning. Girls and boys, dream and think!

  10. no matter how terrible people act, we don’t have a right to judge them. We are just to express our minds, and don’t have to pay attention what other people look like, what’s their real face. It doesn’t matter for me, if someone will say anything about me, I know what I really deserve, and what kind of person I really am.

  11. I’ve tried to think it over and I guess this is just a rumor. I hate rumors that ruin private life so advise you not to believe it and leave your comments by yourself.

  12. I can’t cope with debates with unknown people and I don’t understand what Dweebo and HonestMan67 talk about. Also I have little time for puzzles.

  13. We started to clean up and rehabilitate what’s now called “the Vatican” or “What we can” last Sunday, April 27. The choice of weekday was stupid, since shops selling tools we need are closed on holidays.
Therefore we resume the work Saturday May 3 at 11 am. There will be some food and drinks in the early afternoon.
